パープルデーって？

カナダに住む一人の女の子、キャシディ―・メーガンさんが始めたこのキャンペーンは、いまや世界中に賛同の輪が広がっています。

この日、世界各国の人が、てんかんをもつ人への応援のメッセージを込めて「紫色のもの」を身につけます。 また、講演会や音楽イベントのように皆が楽しみながらてんかんへの理解を深められるようなイベントが各地で開催されています。

PURPLE DAY MARCH 26thPurple Day (March 26th) was founded by Cassidy Megan, a Canadian girl with Epilepsy. Her passion to bring people together, through the love of awareness and the reduction of stigma, has since spread to many countries. It is an amazing global grassroots campaign built on support and approval. It is a fun, a passionate, yet serious campaign as well, as the challenges to epilepsy remain many. On Purple Day March 26th, people wear or put on something purple to show their support for the grassroots campaign. A variety of events are held throughout the world on Purple Day. The seed was planted by Cassidy Megan and has flowered everywhere, not only on March 26, but Purple Day Everyday! Purple day is managed by The Anita Kaufmann Foundation in North America (http://akfus.org/) and Japanese Epilepsy Rehabilitation Study Group (Japanese Purple Day Project Group) in Japan.
